I am ready to come out in the open about my joining of Weight Watchers back in March. I didn't tell a lot of people to begin with because honestly, I don't want people asking all the time how I'm doing.
I put enough pressure on myself so I don't need it from anybody else.
But anyways, I'm coming clean about it because you can tell I'm losing weight (yay!) and it's okay to admit that you need help doing it.
I'm the first to admit that I have no willpower. I love baked goods, cheese, fried foods, ice cream and pretty much everything else that is not on my list of foods to eat.
So I wanted to share some tactics I've used to help in the weight loss battle as well as some things I've learned about myself:
- There are some things only a cupcake can fix.
- But there are times when I have to think, I enjoy how I feel more than how much I will enjoy this cupcake.
- Greek yogurt is an awesome pick me up.
- My new favorite snack is oven-roasted black-eyed peas.
- I actually do feel better when I don't eat too many carbs. Drat it all.
- Greasy food makes my stomach hurt now.
- If I shouldn't eat it, I don't buy it.
- Start the journey with a friend. It makes it so much easier.
- I don't lose weight every week. And that's okay.
- And there is nothing more motivating than getting up on a scale in front of someone else every week.

So proud of you! And, I'm thankful that while the pounds melt away, your heart stays just as big. :)
