Dear 2012

Thanks for slipping in quietly last night.  I've been working really hard the past few days and the much needed rest was welcome.

I've got high hopes for you 2012. 2011 set a high bar to follow. It had it's ups and downs but on the whole it was a great year. There was a ton of change, new opportunities for me and lots of fun to be had.

2012, I'm looking to you for bigger and better things.

I want to GROW in so many areas of my life. Grow in my profession, grow as a friend, grow as a Christian. Just when I think I can't possibly do more, the opportunities are right there in front me. 2012, I'm looking for more of those and the wisdom to grab them up and run with it.

I want to MOVE. I'm not looking to move to a new location or a new house. But moving in general. Exercising, traveling, seeing new things, tasting new foods, finding new passions. There is a big wide world around me and as much as I love staying home and staying put, it's time to step out more.

I want to LEARN. I've started an interest journal. I carry it around with me and when something catches my eye or I read an article I really enjoy, I write it down. If it interests me, I want to know more about it. For you 2012, I'll be more curious and questioning.

So 2012, BRING IT! I'm ready for you.
