I rarely listen to the radio on a daily basis. If I do, it's usually NPR. And that's on the weekends when I'm listening to "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me," "This American Life" and "Car Talk."
But for some reason, when I'm on a road trip, I always listen to the radio. Sometimes I'll find a station that I like and land on it for most of the drive.
Usually, I'm just a radio surfer. Or radio roulette as I like to call it.
This would probably drive the average person crazy which is why I only do it when I'm alone in my car.
How do you play? Put the radio on scan and leave it on there until something comes up you know and can sing along. Loudly.
What did I belt out on Sunday? Well, since you asked:
"Saving All My Love For You" - Whitney Houston
"Rolling in the Deep" - Adele
"Hot Rod Lincoln" - Commander Cody
"Just Fine" - Mary J. Blige
"Mother's Little Helper" - The Rolling Stones
"Suspicious Minds" - Elvis
"Call Me Maybe" - Carly Rae Jepsen
"Tiny Dancer" - Elton John
"The Joker" - Steve Miller Band
That's just what I can remember but try it sometime. It helps the time move. Even when you're not.
