On fall mornings

Today is the day I live for the entire summer long in Alabama. As I trudge my way through sweltering heat and humidity, I long for the cool, crisp morning that makes me inhale deeply and savor the coolness that fills my lungs.

Most people think of spring as a time of new beginnings, new growth. But to me, fall is the time that refreshes my soul.

Fall is a gift after a long, hot summer. A gift that makes me feel lighter, clearer and more capable.

Fall feels like grace.
