Fall is my absolute favorite time of year. I love the nip in the air, the leaves swirling and my hot cup of tea in the mornings.
Fall in Alabama is a breath of fresh air after the oppressive humidity and heat of the summer.
What else do I love about fall? Soups, grilled cheese, hot chocolate, scarves, sweaters, boots and comfy clogs.
Fall fashion is right up my alley. It's not all bulky and shapeless like winter clothes. When you pile on everything in order to keep your body heat. Fall you're still covering up but it's time to break out some color and try some fun looks.
My friend Catie (who is very fashion forward) told me this morning she was digging my outfit. It was very fall and colorful and it was the best compliment I had received in a long time.
I am a slave to black. It never fails me. And I tend to wear it too often. So this year I've made a promise to myself to wear more color and try new things. And I'm loving it!
Today is comfy and cozy day in the office. When I'm sitting at my desk for hours on end with no client meetings, I can get away with this. Oxblood colored jeans, oatmeal long cardigan with an asymmetrical neckline and a chevron multi-colored stripe scarf.
Look for this outfit to reappear on Thanksgiving. It may be my new fave!
