One month

It's been one month since I've posted on this blog. Sorry about that.

What's happened in one month you may ask?

Well I'll tell you:

I've been working. Long hours. Long days. But thankfully not on the weekends. This is a busy time of year as we plan for 2013 and wrap up 2012.

I've been working out. I'm trying dadgum it to get in shape. I'm definitely getting stronger and my endurance during cardio is better than 15 minutes. I'm not losing weight like I want but I can tell things are shifting. Healthy is what I want to be. Not skinny.

I had the worst stomach flu I may have ever had. And I mean EVER. I was out of work two days and recovering for over a week. Sometimes God wants you to slow down and He doesn't give you much choice about the whole thing.

The Georgia Merricks came for a visit and we had a lovely time. They camped at the state park, I slept in my own bed and every body was happy.

I've been watching a ton of television. It's my escape. The best stuff on right now? Arrow on The CW; Once Upon a Time on ABC; the NCIS'; and Duck Dynasty on A&E.

I've read two books. Both very different but very good. "Double Cross" is about the spies that fooled the German army to keep them from finding out about the D-Day invasion during WWII. A fascinating read. "The Legacy" is about two sisters with a secret. A secret that they don't even know themselves spans more than 100 years.

And now for your viewing enjoyment, wisdom from Duck Dynasty:
