Rambling

Just a few thoughts rolling through my head this week:
  1. I really didn't appreciate this article stating that only unhappy people watch a lot of television. I beg your pardon. I am a happy person and I watch loads of TV. I think that is a gross generalization. Now if I stayed home to watch TV all the time, that would be bad. But that's what Tivo was invented for.
  2. I went back to the doctor today because I have this crazy cough that will not go away. I don't feel bad but when it keeps me from sleeping - that my friend, is when I have a problem. No relapse of walking pneumonia but I did have to get a breathing treatment. And I also walked out with four prescriptions. One of them I had to look up online to find out what it was and it is not a good sign that it treats tuberculosis.
  3. One thing about Alabama I do not like - charities that stand in the middle of busy intersections with buckets asking for loose change. That cannot be safe. And I really don't like rolling up to a stoplight and having some guy I don't know looking in my window to see if I have any loose change laying around. Um privacy anybody? And aren't there panhandling laws?
  4. I am old. Jennifer and I went to a concert last night in downtown Birmingham that was held in a photo studio loft. It was very cool; very artsy. And very full of young, hip people. Of which we are not. I do believe we were the oldest people there. That is a sobering reality.
