A Time to Remember

I pause today on Veteran's Day to think of the many members of my family that served faithfully and honorably protecting our country, our freedoms and our liberties. If not for what they did, we wouldn't have been able to vote last week. And keep complaining about it today.

My PaJoe fought in Europe in WWII as well as my Great Uncle Dick in the Pacific. My Papa fought in Korea along with his brother, Uncle June. And most recently, my cousin Steven served in Iraq in a war that people want to forget.

I was just reading this article on CNN.com about an army medic in WWII who can't forget.

Wars are fought for a reason. We may not always agree on the reasoning or the purpose but our support should always be unanimous and their sacrifices never forgotten.
