Anatomy of a Mississippi Fourth:

• Humidity so thick that I'm surprised the fireworks didn't go out on their way up.
• Deer kabobs.
• Homemade ice cream.
• Burnt hot dogs - my favorite!
• Lots of patriotic bunting on houses. Oxford is a very patriotic town.
• Sweet family time.
• Watching Isaiah watch fireworks for the first time. With his hands over his ears.
• Watching Ezra go to sleep during the fireworks.
