Clean as a whistle

Inside and out.

At least that's what I hope.

If you've been reading the blog, you know that I have well-documented my efforts to lose weight, stay healthy, be active and all those things that help you live long and prosper.

And it is a STRUGGLE. I am fully aware that I am fearfully and wonderfully made but I also know that I would rather read a book, watch TV, eat a cookie then work out, eat a salad or choose the fish over red meat.

So trying to change this hot mess? Has been a STRUGGLE.

This week I'm trying something different. To reset my body, clean out my system and help me be mindful of what I eat and how much I move (or don't move as the case my be), I'm making a three-day commitment.

Starting Wednesday, I will be doing a three-day juice cleanse. I just heard the collective eyebrow raising across the country.

A juice cleanse is similar to a fast except that it is designed to be nutritional and I won't be depriving myself of vitamins, minerals and all that good stuff. Each day will have six juices that I must drink in a particular order and in specific intervals. Each one doing it's very special thing so that by Saturday, I feel refreshed, rejuvenated and restored.

What are the juices you ask? There is a green one with parsley, kale, cucumber, apple, spinach, celery. And then a spicy lemonade. Next a pineapple, apple and mint. Fourth is a cashew milk and fifth is apple, carrot and beet.

I know. I just grossed many of you out.

If all else fails I'll have learned how long it takes me to get to the bathroom. Which is a very real possibility.

So here's to something new. Something healthy. And hopefully something I won't regret.

Impressive, amiga. Tell us how it goes....I am intrigued as to its validity.
