God knows exactly what we need

I'm not the best person at looking after myself. I know this and try hard to work out, eat right, get enough sleep and generally not stress out. I'm not always successful. Actually mostly unsuccessful if I'm going to be fully truthful.

But I am a firm believer that God provides exactly what we need and for me, He has provided wonderful friends that help me keep my sanity.

And also fantastic neighbors that treat me like one of their own. Max and Susan live underneath me and I don't know what I would do without them. They're my sounding board on bad days, my food providers when I don't have time to cook and let me watch TV with them when I need some company.

But last night, they were amazing! I was flying back from Raleigh and during my layover in Charlotte, I suddenly realized I had not turned the heat on at my house. It was 70 degrees when I left on Sunday but now the low was 18 with a windchill of 6. I told my boss (who was traveling with me) that my house was going to be so cold.

The whole way home I dreaded going in the house. It was 12:30 AM and I was so tired and knowing how cold my house was going to be just made me shiver.

But when I opened my front door, warm air hit me in my face! Max had gone up and turned the heat up for me because he knew I wouldn't have remembered to do it. I almost cried I was so grateful.

So today I am thankful for wonderful friends and neighbors that know what I need before I even do.
