Election season is over

And I don't know about y'all but I'm over it. The ads were specifically nasty this time around and the dirt being thrown seemed to come hard and fast.

I'm fairly certain this is not what the Founding Fathers had in mind when designing a government made for the people, by the people.

That's neither here nor there. Maybe politics have always been this bad and I've just never paid attention before.

But to keep it in perspective, I read this quote today and it's pretty fantastic. I think we would all do well to remember it:

On this election day, I aspire to be as conservative as the Word of God and as liberal as the heart of God.
