At Christmas, I tend to count my blessings. Even more than I do at Thanksgiving. I suppose it's because during the Advent season I'm reminded of all the promises God has made and all He has kept.
At church Sunday, the pastor was reading part of the Christmas story from Luke and one verse in particular just hit me square in the heart. I've heard it year after year but it's never touched me as much as it did this year. It was Luke 1:37 - "For nothing is impossible with God."
This year I've faced things I would have sworn were impossible. And here I am. Standing on the other side seeing that God kept His promise to see me through and teach me in the process.
So this Christmas, I am counting my blessings - including all of those seemingly impossible situations that were difficult this past year. Because they just remind me that nothing is ever impossible with God.
