Have you ever noticed how much more welcoming people's homes seem at Christmas? Like you could step in and have a cup of cocoa whenever you wanted.
Love it. It reminds of the light of Christ. He wants to draw us in and let us be near Him. He's welcoming year round. Us, just a month out of the year.
I've been working on my Christmas list per the request of many and I have to say - I don't need a darn thing. But that said, I'd love to have a few things. Be prepared for the ridiculous (stuff I will never get) to the strange (you will be wondering why I asked for that).
- A Bose Wave music system with iPod kit.
- An iPad.
- A ukelele. Yes I had this on my list last year. I still want one.
- From Target: A Giada De Laurentiis Cast-Iron 4 qt. braiser pan with lid (red).
- An infinity scarf. Google it. Preferably a silver color.
- A weekend subscription to the Birmingham News
- A weekend subscription to the New York Times.
- Ina Garten's newest cookbook - How Easy is That?
- I also love these dishes from Wal-Mart. Like I need dishes - but you can put them in the oven and I like the squareness of it.
- I would love to go to Donald Miller's conference in Portland called "Storyline." The event is in June but donations could be accepted.
And that's about it. Of course I love surprises. So that's always an option.
