Dad: What are you up to?
Me: I'm watching Les Miz on PBS.
Dad: Is that on?
Me: Well it's on my PBS. I'm not sure about yours.
Dad: Look at that - yes it is.
Me: I think we're at the same part. "Bring Him Home" is about to come up.
Dad: Well I can't talk to you and listen at the same time. I only have one good ear. So bye.
And now I know where I fall in hierarchy - beneath PBS and Les Miz. Nice.
