Somewhere beyond the sea

You know what's awesome about nephews? Conversations like this.

{Background: I wanted to Skype with the boys before I flew out today so D. set them up with me Thursday afternoon.}

Isaiah: Riri! Daddy says you're going on a big trip. Where are you going?

Me: I'm going to Germany!

Isaiah: Germany! GERMANY! WOW! Where is Germany?

Me: It's on the other side of the ocean.

Isaiah: All the way across the ocean? Dad, can you show me where Germany is on our map?

{D. and Isaiah exit to find Germany while Ezra tells me about the Lion King.}

Isaiah: What is Germany like?

Me: Well, it's really old. And there are castles!

Isaiah: Castles! Are you going to go to a castle?

Me: I am! A beautiful castle.

Isaiah: Will you take pictures so I can see it? And maybe you'll see a princess at the castle!

Me: Actually, I'd rather see a prince.

Isaiah: Can we Skype while you're in Germany?

Me: We can try. Daddy and I will have to work on that.

Isaiah: I want to talk to you on the computer so you can show me what Germany looks like. And then you can come to my house and show me the pictures.

Me: Well, the next time I will see you will be at Nana and Poppa's house for Christmas.

Isaiah: Christmas! We'll roast marshmallows and warm ourselves by the fire and make snow angels and play in the snow and have a snowball fight.

{And at this point, all conversation of Germany ended. But honestly, how cute is that?}
