- New friends that live a different lifestyle than you that Biblically you don't support.
- Close friends that are making decisions that historically have not been the best.
These are situations that I've been faced with lately. Different people, different situations but essentially the same.
I believe there is a difference between loving a person as God loves them and then actually accepting the lifestyle and decisions they make. It's a very thin, gray line but it's there.
But how do you live that?
You can draw boundaries, you can change topics of conversation, you can avoid the people all together.
But how do you truly "speak the truth in love"? Any thoughts?

I am still stumped by your use of "accept" - you know there is a book, SPEAKING THE TRUTH IN LOVE, that I used for Stephen Ministry - I'll try to find you a copy. It might help.
