Ice Cream, A One Act Play

(Setting: Mom, Dad and myself cruising Danville on a Saturday night. Yes, it was that exciting.)

Dad: So do you want an ice cream cone?

Mom: Not right now.

Dad: But we're on the DQ side of the street.

Mom: We have cake we could have at home.

Dad: But ice cream is not cake.

(30 Minutes Later)

Mom: Are we stopping for ice cream?

Dad: NO! You said we'll have cake when we get home. And besides I'm on the other side of the street now.

Mom: Well you could take a left here and loop around.

Dad: NO! I am NOT turning left. You said NO to the ice cream so we're not getting any.

Mom: But you're not having cake when we get home.

Dad: You said we were! You said we would have cake.

Mom: No I said you could and we aren't.

Me: I don't know why all of us in this vehicle have to be punished. I would like ice cream.

Dad: Blame your momma.
