Internet Watchdog

Very interesting article I just read on this site about the author finding his niece misrepresenting her age on the Internet.

Computers are great and wonderful as are social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace and all those others that are too many to count. Personally I've watched too many Cold Case TV shows and "To Catch a Predator" specials on NBC to know that you never, ever put too much personal information up for public view.

I do make a point of keeping an eye out on kids that I know when I'm on Facebook. If they trust me enough to be their friend, then their parents trust me to look out for them.

So read the article above along with the comments below it and please, if you have children in your family that are on any of these sites, protect them. There is no such thing as privacy if you post it on the web and no one wants to learn that the hard way.
