I saw the sunrise this morning. Intentionally even.
I am not a morning person. This is a fact known by all. But some days, it pays to get to work early and knock a few things off the to-do list before anybody else is in the office.
That was today.
So while it was painful getting moving, I was rewarded with a beautiful sunrise as I crested Shades Mountain. At that exact moment, "Give Me Jesus" started playing and as I sat at that traffic light, I had a moment.
A moment to enjoy the beauty of solitude. A moment to drink in the beauty of God's workmanship. A moment to reflect on a song that became my theme for the day.
I'm thankful for my moments this morning, even though early. Because it made this interminably long day bearable.
