Thankful Thursday #33

This past Sunday, my Nanny and Papa celebrated 62 years of marriage.

I'll let that sink in for a second.

62 years!

And still going strong. Which is awesome.

If you spend anytime with Nanny and Papa, you will notice what a team they are. 95% of the time they are in total sync with each other. He does this, she does that. There are things that we know Nanny does and things that Papa does. She pays the bills. He sharpens the kitchen knives. She cooks supper. He carves the meat. She starts the tomato plants. He puts them in the ground.

This list goes on and on.

Of course they still have a big old house for a reason. Sometimes everybody needs a little alone time.

I'm thankful for them working at a relationship that has only grown stronger since 1950. For being an anchor for our family and an example of how relationships can work and last with enough love, patience and forgiveness.
