I've mostly done laundry the past couple of days and read some magazines that I hadn't had a chance to peruse. I did have a meeting at Samford yesterday for the journalism advisory council. I loved being able to discuss academia and throw in my two cents about what I thought Samford needed in their program.
One of the things I was amazed by was the fact that they were having trouble hiring professors. It seems that not many journalism professors want to work at a Christian university. I think that's awfully sad because I don't think the two would be mutually exclusive.
I'm having a thought I never considered before - what if I went back to school? What if I took my nine+ years of experience in public relations and media and took it the classroom?
Maybe I'm nuts. But maybe I'm not. At least its something to think about for awhile.
