So I have resolved to lose some weight that I've gained over the past few months. It's really frustrating when you know you don't look like yourself but everything that worked before is no longer working. I guess that's what they call turning 30.
I started back to my spinning class twice a week which is great. I really enjoy it and when I walk out, I feel like I've had a great work out. But I need to do more.
Starting today, I will be going to a class on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays that is just around the corner from my office. It's during lunch and a friend of mine is the instructor. He opened his own personal fitness place and has started these lunchtime sessions for people like me.
Today was my first day and I'm pretty sure he tried to kill me. It was a mixture of pyramid strength training (free weights) and pilates. Wow did it hurt. But that's when you know it's working I guess.
Afterwards as I was trying to catch my breath, we were chatting and I was telling him how I had gained this weight and I just couldn't get it off. He said, "We'll do it. You're just getting old. You have to change how you do things."
I would have hit him but I was afraid that I would hurt my hand on his perfectly toned, no body fat bicep. Jerk.
According to him, I will have a new butt and stomach within two weeks of the program. I told him if I don't, I want my money back.
